LONG HAIR CHIHUAHUA IMAGES PHOTOS
tiny, cute, loving, affectionate
what more can we say?

Please do not hotlink to any photos on this page.  Mommy can tell from the server logs who is linking to which chihuahua image (and from where!) and the doggie image might be replaced with something really ugly and nasty and not as cute as li'l me.
Thank you, Lullubelle.

Questions asked about Lulubelle

Q: Is Lulubelle the Long-Haired Chihuahua for sale?
A: She is our precious baby and - no -- she is not for sale.  We are not breeders or sellers of animals.
Q: Is Lulubelle a mixed dog breed?
A: No, Lulu is a purebred Long-Hair Chihuahua dog.  We have never filed her AKC papers since we have no intention of breeding her to sell puppies.
Q: Is Lulubelle potty trained?
A: Yes, crate training was effective and she was potty trained within 2 weeks.  She has not had a "potty accident" inside the house since then.

Quick Tip on how we potty trained Lulubelle.  It worked for us (although it may not work for you; this is just our unprofessional opinion):  As a puppy, anytime she was unsupervised, she would be in her crate (very short periods of time).  The moment she came out of her crate, we would take her to the designated potty location.  No exceptions.  If we were playing with her, every 1/2 hour-45 minutes, we would take her to her potty location, also after eating and napping.  Chihuahuas are bright -- she caught on pretty quickly where she was supposed to go potty.
Q: Do you own her siblings?
A: No, her siblings are owned by family members and two co-workers.  We keep in touch with them quite often.
Q: Are the 2 black Chihuahuas part of the same litter?
A: Yes, those are Lulubelle's sisters (Nani and Soli).
Q: Why can't I have Lulubelle?
A: Please see the first reply above.
Q: What type of dog is Snoopy?
A: Snoopy is a Long-Hair Chihuahua-Maltese Mix.  He is also highly energetic and happy all the time.
Q: Why did Lulubelle take a bottle?
A: The mom developed preclampsia and all the puppies had to be bottle fed.
Q: Where can I buy a Chihuahua?
A: The Humane Society is a good place to search for one.  There are so many little dogs (and large ones) needing a home.
Q: Is Lulubelle a teacup?
A: There is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua.  That's just a name backyard breeders have invented.  Lulubelle is simply true to her breed:  a long-hair chihuahua
Q: Does Lulubelle bite?
A: No, she doesn't bite.
Q: Why do you take so many pictures?
A: Because they grow too quickly and I like capturing the moment in pictures.  Each of our dogs has 2 or 3 photo albums of their own.
Q: Are you sure Lulubelle is not a Pomeranian?
A: Yes, we're positive.  The two dog breeds resemble each other but Lulu is a Chi.
Q: Your Chihuahuas do not look like the Taco Bell dog.
A: The Taco Bell dog (to our understanding) is a Short-Coated Chihuahua.  Lulubelle is Long-Hair Chihuahua, which looks slightly different.
Q: Do you want Lulubelle to be famous like Paris Hilton's Chihuahuas?
A: Good grief -- No!  Lulubelle cannot handle any more attention.  We want Lulubelle to continue just being the baby in our family.  The closest she comes to being near a celebrity (Martha Stewart) is when she hugs her Martha Stewart blankie.  Lulubelle does not not wish or hope to become a celebrity, but it's a cute thought.
Q: I want a dog like Stella.  Is she a mixed breed?
A: Yes, Stella is a Long Hair Chihuahua mixed with a Maltese dog.  She appears to have picked up the best of both breeds and is highly intelligent.
Q: Did you train Lulubelle?
A: I have determined that this tiny breed is a bit more stubborn and difficult to train than other breeds (then again, I'm not a dog trainer so that could be it).  For example, Lady (my Flat-Coated Retriever Mixed Breed dog) learns commands in 2-3 days.  Lulubelle and Tobi take substantially longer.
Q: If Tobi is a Long Hair dog, why does he look like a short hair dog in the picture?
A: Good question! I shave him during the Summer.  I've been doing it for 8 years and he seems to be more comfortable.  Reminder:  I'm not a Veterinarian or a professional groomer so don't take my opinion on this seriously - use your own judgment.
Q: Is Lulubelle full grown? What color is she?
A: Lulubelle is now full grown, and she's still a slightly blonde long hair chihuahua.  Sometimes her fur looks light brown, but 9 out of 10 times, she still looks like a dirty blonde doggie.  Blonde or brunette, they still get the same attention.  Checkout Missy below.  She's a beautiful brunette long hair chihuahua and this is a picture of her as a puppy.
Q: Can I send you payment for 2 puppies? Can you send them by mail?
A: Good grief! No!! We are not chihuahua breeders.  We don't sell puppies so please keep your money and please use it at the Humane Society to adopt 2 needy dogs.  I can't believe anybody would mail a dog.  What a horrifying experience that would be!!  Did you know there are thousands of Chihuahuas needing a good home?  Yes, there are.  Please adopt a few.
Q: Can I copy your Chihuahua images?
A: For personal use....yes.  For commercial use or financial gain....no!  In either case, please "ASK BEFORE COPING ANY OF OUR LONG HAIRED CHIHUAHUA IMAGES."   These image photos are available as "chihuahua stock photography" for a negotiable fee.  You would need to indicate which one you wish to purchase.

Long Hair Chihuahuas come in many colors and are the most affectionate little dogs!  Chihuahuas are a tiny and lovable breed and it's easy to fall in love with them.  Unfortunately, many are abandoned due to their hyper nature, sometimes yappy disposition and lack of discipline (unless trained).  Pet ownership requires responsibility, a lot of love, and the commitment to keep the pet in a "forever" home (no matter what).  If you feel a Chi is for you, please check with your local Humane Society and inquire about adopting a homeless one.  They are small in size but have a huge heart!
