STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING AN IMAGE.

Before you consider posting an image at the CFP forum (this applies to posting images on any site on the Internet as well), the image needs to be on a server (MSN, Imagestation, Ofoto, Yahoo, etc..) -- this means that the image cannot just reside on your computer's hard drive or on a floppy disk.  It won't work like that.

OK, assuming that you already have the photographs on a server, these are step-by-step instructions:

1) Find the image you want to upload (we'll use Buffy's image as a guide).  Note that I say "find the image" NOT "find the whole album."

2) Place your mouse over the image and RIGHT-click, which will bring up this screen:

3) LEFT-click on Properties, which will bring up this screen:

4) See where it says Address?  All that is what you need to copy.  That is the photograph's URL ADDRESS.  If you leave out any portion of it, the image will not be visible and all you will see is a little "x" instead.  Note that it commences with:  "http:" and usually ends with "gif" or "jpg."  You copy it by highlighting it with the mouse and pressing CTRL + C on your keyboard.

5) At the forum, wherever you want your image to appear, click on:

Display Image - UBBCode™

and this pop-up box will appear:

6) Paste the URL ADDRESS information there by pressing CTRL + V on your keyboard, or just typing it in.

The image should appear.  The only sites that I know of that allow image linking right now (9/20/02) are MSN.com and Imagestation.com

Hope this helps :)
